The Spudder Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings

I was tempted to give this place a one-star review just to keep the secrets safe, but sputters is probably one of the better steakhouses in the Midwest. Great variety of appetizers and add-ons. The lamb chops were cooked a perfect medium room rare and my friends that had the steak and quail found everything perfectly cooked. The winter veggies, (zucchini and squash saute) or done to perfection. If you think you have the room, try the crab cakes. I don't know if they're locally sourced, but they are perfectly prepared. Servers April and Crystal are 5-star. The manager Steve made two passes by our table just to make sure everything was perfect. They hide the place back behind a jiffy lube and there's no sign out on Sheridan that gives you a clue. There's a restaurant tucked back into the local residential neighborhood. In short, they don't need advertising. Be there at 4:45 p.m. unless you want to wait a while. The weekend crowd gets there before five.

Cool spot outside of the city. Known for their steaks and oil themed decor. We got there shortly before closing, but the staff was thankfully accommodating. Heard good things about the stuffed mushroom appetizer - honestly it was just ok - I probably wouldn't order it again. The star of the show was the 22oz bone-in ribeye known as the Gusher. It certainly didn't disappoint - cooked perfectly it was juicy and full of flavor. The kids had the steak tips, also cooked nicely and the wife had a filet which was also delicious. The restaurant was clean and the oil decor was quite neat. Definitely recommend a visit while in Tulsa!

Great place to eat. Everyone is nice and friendly. I ate by myself but was checked on countlessly by everyone and the manager, which I appreciated. I got the 6oz filet and sweet potato fries. The steak had the perfect bite and great taste from the flame. The decor is cute and a nice concept, because I’ve worked for a couple of oil and gas companies. When in town I will def comeback.

This is the only place in Tulsa that gets it right for the $ you spend. All of the others either the food quality and/or the price doesn't match. If they can't compete with what I make at home, I'm pissed off at the price. Spudder never fails to hit! A+++

This place is great. The bone-in ribeye and fillet were cooked perfect and were delicious. I love that you get rolls, soup, and salad with your meal. Rolls come out in a lunchbox which was pretty cool. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious as well. Service was top notch!

Home town steakhouse feel. Steak and quail were very well done with just the right seasoning and cooked to order. Other sides and salads were just average. Service was very good. Atmosphere was fine but a little more family and less fine dining considering the price was closer to a fine dining level.

The food was great and the atmosphere was cool but the service was fantastic! I enjoyed the history since I'm from Wichita Falls, Texas and a lot of my family work / worked in the oil field. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We could hear them joking with each other which made the experience even better. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the tomato soup was better than any we have ever had.

Went here one night with a few friends and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the decor is a wide variety of oil industry tools and hardware. Our server came to our table with a metal lunch pail full of hot rolls when we arrived which was a pleasant snack while we chose our meals. The meals come with a great potato soup (I could have eaten another cup easily) and a salad. I had a steak with a baked potato and everything was prepared perfectly. I’ll definitely be back soon.
